Timeline Fair, 2010

On the 20th to 21st of November this year was the first Timeline Fair. Nic and I travelled from Adelaide to Melbourne to attend this event. Nic set up our walled tent and presented a display on the South Australian Volunteer Rifles.

Preparing for the day... immodist I know, but my husband loves this photo. Inside of the tent we camped period correct with wool blankets on straw. The dress bag is not correct, however it was stored in the car after I had dressed for the day.

The weekend was not all work and for once we managed to get some beautiful photos of us together thanks to the kindness of a visitor/spectator.

Out in the field it was very sunny and Nic and I took turns managing the display. This was also useful time for working on some embroidery

On display Nic had an 1853 pattern Enfield Rifle made in 1856, a circa 1860 Calisher & Terry , attachments, bayonets, leathers, reproduction bullets casted by Nic and original bullets that were dug up from a volunteer range.
